Lexington police investigating after shots fired near apartment complex

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — The Lexington Police Department (LPD) is investigating after a shooter reportedly fired rounds into the air on Tuesday morning and ran away near Hideaway Apartments.

Officers with the department told FOX 56 News that around 7:30 a.m. on Feb. 17, officers went to the 3600 block of Bold Bidder Drive in response to reports of a domestic violence situation in the area.

Authorities said someone fired shots into the air and left the scene. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the shooter.
