Kentucky Schools Move to Remote Learning Due to Widespread Illness

Districts moving to nontraditional instruction

Two Kentucky school districts — Spencer County Schools and Frankfort Independent Schools — have shifted to nontraditional instruction due to high levels of illness among students and staff.

Spencer County Schools

  • Nontraditional instruction days: Feb. 19–20
  • In-person activities will only be available at Tiger Cub Village, the district’s early childhood education center.
  • Superintendent Willie Foster said the decision was made in response to widespread illness.

Frankfort Independent Schools
