Lexington apartment fire displaces residents; city offers assistance

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – The Lexington Fire Department has determined that Saturday’s fire the Wolf Run condominium project on Village Drive, was accidental. The fire sent six people to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The fire started on the second floor of an apartment building and spread across multiple units. Danielle Sanders, director of Community and Resident Services with Lexington Fayette County government, said the scope of the damage was significant.

“There were four buildings, I believe 53 units and about 163 people,” Sanders said…
