Fayette County sheriff warns of rising telephone scams

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Fayette County residents are being warned about an uptick in telephone scams.

On Wednesday, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office said the Lexington area has seen telephone scams resurfacing over the last few months.

Anyone requesting payment or wanting access to personal information should raise an alarm among residents, according to the sheriff’s office.
