LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Hedgewood Court is currently blocked off near Woodhill Drive amid the presence of multiple law enforcement vehicles, according to FOX 56 News crewmembers in the field.
No charges filed after Lexington police respond to shots-fired call
Around 8 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 27, FOX 56 personnel were sent to the Woodhill area following reports of a large police presence in the area of Woodhill Drive and Hedgewood Court.
Team members near the subdivision said they’d seen at least seven vehicles with the Lexington Police Department in the area, along with other emergency vehicles and personnel. They also said long guns and body armor were being deployed by law enforcement in the area.
We are working to learn more, and this story will be updated as crew members get more information.
A spokesperson from Fayette County Public Schools said that due to the police presence in the area, the district was unable to send buses to their Woodhill area stops.

“Our Transportation Department is working to communicate with schools and families,” FCPS officials said. “Once the area is cleared and safe, we will pick up students that still need transportation.
