Winchester mom says Maximus owes her weeks of short-term disability pay after benefits dispute

WINCHESTER, Ky. (WKYT) – A Winchester mother says she has gone without pay for nearly two months after her employer denied her short-term disability claim.

LaToya Gordon has worked for Maximus Federal Services, formerly known as Pearl Interactive, in Winchester since 2024. She assists clients in navigating their Medicaid plans and benefits.

Benefits dispute begins at company takeover

When Maximus took over last fall, Gordon was pregnant. She said a company representative assured her that her leave benefits would be carried over to the new employer.

“I knew that I was going to be going out on leave, and she told me, ‘Don’t worry about it, that your time would just roll over with Maximus,’” Gordon said…
