Fayette Circuit judge calls removal petition ‘frivolous,’ asks committee to dismiss

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Fayette Circuit Judge Julie Goodman has filed a response with the state impeachment committee calling a petition to remove her from the bench “legally deficient and frivolous,” according to the Lexington Herald-Leader.

The petition, filed by former state Rep. Killian Timoney, accuses Goodman of abusing her authority in several Lexington cases, including the dismissal of a murder indictment.
