LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — On Thursday morning, an 18-year-old appeared in court on charges related to the home invasion and shooting death of an 81-year-old man in October 2025.
Court records show that on Oct. 24, 2025, Dajon Fielder, who was 17 years old at the time, allegedly killed 81-year-old Thomas Kriegel at his home on the 400 block of Lakebow Court.

Just before 1 p.m. on Oct. 24, officers with the Lexington Police Department were dispatched to the neighborhood, where they reportedly found Kriegel’s body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Oct. 30, Lexington law enforcement officials said in a video announcement that Fielder had been lodged in a juvenile detention center in Warren County.
According to court records, Fielder turned 18 in December 2025. On Feb. 24, he was indicted on murder, first-degree burglary, possession of a handgun by a minor, and second-degree criminal mischief charges…
