(NewsNation) – Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, have purchased their new home on Miami’s “billionaire bunker island” for $170 million.
Their recent purchase on Indian Creek Island sets a record for Miami-Dade County and is one of the U.S.’s most expensive home purchases to date, according to The Wall Street Journal. Billionaire Ken Griffin holds the record for his nearly $238 million purchase of a New York apartment in 2019.

It will be some time before they move in, however, as construction is still ongoing at the home. Some of the nine-bedroom, 11 1/2-bathroom home’s newest features are set to include a gym, hair salon, and massage room, along with a 1,500-gallon aquarium and a library with a secret passageway.
Details of an actual bunker on Zuckerberg’s new property are unclear. But in recent years, ultra-wealthy buyers have been purchasing homes with bunkers or bomb shelters on-site, NewsNation previously reported.
