LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Stormy Pattern Arrives This Week: Here’s What to Expect
Rain and storms are heading our way Monday through Thursday. Wednesday’s gonna be the day to watch.
Your forecast is about to change big time. We’re trading in that nice Sunday for a wet and messy week. Here’s what you need to know.
Monday: Sunny Morning, Stormy Night
Start your Monday off right with some sunshine and highs in the low 70s. But don’t get too comfortable. Storms are gonna roll in late tonight, so keep your radar app handy as the sun goes down. Heading out this evening? Grab an umbrella.
Tuesday: More of the Same
Tuesday’s gonna feel pretty similar to Monday. Showers and storms could pop up anytime during the day as we hit the mid-70s. Keep that umbrella nearby and check the weather before you head out.
Wednesday: This is the Day to Watch
Okay, this is the one. Wednesday is shaping up to be our most significant weather day of the week. Storms are likely, rain is coming, and even though it’ll be in the mid-70s, don’t let that temperature fool you. The real story is the storm potential. Stick with WKYT for the latest updates as we get closer.
Thursday: Cold and Wet
Showers are gonna hang around into Thursday as the system moves through. But here’s the thing: it’s gonna get noticeably colder. We’re only looking at highs in the mid-30s to low 40s, so bundle up. Wet conditions could slow down your morning commute, so give yourself some extra time.
Friday: Finally a Break
Good news. Rain’s gonna clear out on Friday and we’ll start drying out. It’s still gonna be cool in the upper 30s to low 40s, but at least we’re done with all that wet weather.
Weekend: Much Better
Saturday’s looking pretty nice with partly cloudy skies and highs in the mid-50s. Sunday’s even better with highs in the low 60s and mostly sunny skies. Perfect day to get outside after dealing with all that rain.
Looking Ahead
Early next week stays dry with highs in the low 50s. We’ll have some nice weather coming our way…
