LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) β Drivers in Lexington should expect traffic delays beginning Monday as lane closures start on Leestown Road as part of a major road improvement project on New Circle Road.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 7 said the far-right northbound lane of Leestown Road (U.S. 421) will close starting at 7 a.m. March 9. The closure will run from just past Lisle Road to Greendale Road, between mile markers 1.25 and 2.30.
Transportation officials said only one lane of traffic will remain open through the work zone, though left-turn lanes will stay accessible.
