Jim Boeheim’s idiotic take on Mark Pope’s job security is laughably bad

Jim Boeheim is a Hall of Famer with over 1,000 wins, if you count the vacated wins, but on Wednesday, he proved he hasn’t been paying attention to what is happening in Lexington. While serving as an analyst for the ACC Tournament, Boeheim took a calculated shot at Mark Pope, claiming the only reason Pope still has a job is his status as a 1996 National Champion after Syracuse fired Adrian Autry.

“I’m glad Mark Pope went to Kentucky,” Boeheim said at halftime of the Louisville-SMU game, “because if he didn’t, he would be gone already.”

Mark Pope has 44 wins in 2 years, Adrian Autry has 48 in 3. And it just gets worse from there.
