‘Bring it’: Pope, Cats seek to make noise in Music City

LEXINGTON, Ky. (KT) — Kentucky coach Mark Pope isn’t concerned with a possible grueling schedule that awaits the Wildcats in Nashville.

Kentucky (19-12), the No. 9 seed, will open the five-day event against LSU at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. To reach the title game, the Wildcats will need to win four straight contests. If Pope’s squad advances past the opener, Missouri awaits in the second round, followed by a possible rematch with top-seed Florida.
