Kentucky has three commitments in its 2027 recruiting class; all in-state prospects. Owensboro (Ky.) linebacker Ty Ashley (6-foot-2, 200) is the latest to cast his lot with Will Stein’s Wildcats. Ashley picked up an offer from the in-state program Feb. 23 when he spoke to defensive coordinator Jay Bateman, linebackers coach Chad Wilt and Stein.
Offensive line coach Cutter Leftwich visited Ashley’s school in January and the linebacker returned the favor Thursday.
Michigan State, Wisconsin, Indiana, Missouri, Virginia Tech, Notre Dame and Louisville had previously offered. Ashley is unranked at this time, but that should change in the near future…
