LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – A Lexington woman says three unidentified men entered her backyard without notice, left her gate open and allowed her dog to escape — costing her $200 to recover the animal from the pound.
Destiney Ducharme said she first learned something was wrong when her husband called to tell her their nearly three-year-old corgi, Shorti, was missing. Ducharme reviewed her home security footage and saw three men in plain clothes arrive in an unmarked utility truck, enter her backyard, inspect a power line and leave without closing the gate.
“Nobody had said anything. They had just rang the doorbell and walked away. I didn’t think anything of it. I had left work to go to the grocery store and my husband called me and said hey, my dog is missing,” Ducharme said…
