LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – St. Patrick’s Day is still days away, but Lexington has a full weekend of events lined up — including a citywide parade and festival. Plus, you can check out a Phil Collins tribute show, and a children’s theatre production for the entire family this weekend.
St. Patrick’s Parade and Festival
One of Lexington’s longest-running citywide civic events returns this weekend with the St. Patrick’s Parade and Festival.
The festival begins Saturday at 10:45 a.m. with the Blessing of the Keg at Henry A. Tandy Centennial Park. The parade steps off at 1 p.m., rolling down Main Street from Midland Avenue to Mill Street.
Live entertainment and performances are scheduled throughout the day, including Kentucky United Pipes & Drums, the McTeggart Irish Dancers, and Celtic Blue.
