Three injured after crash involving police cruiser in Madison County, Kentucky

Three people were injured Friday afternoon in a crash involving a police cruiser in Madison County, Kentucky, according to the Kentucky State Police.

Authorities said the collision happened shortly before 4 p.m. along Lancaster Road.

Police cruiser collided with oncoming vehicle

Investigators said an officer driving a marked patrol vehicle from the Cave City Police Department was traveling west on Lancaster Road and attempted to make a left turn onto Caleast Road.

During the turn, the cruiser reportedly pulled into the path of an eastbound Hyundai Genesis, resulting in a collision.

Drivers and juvenile passenger hospitalized

Police said both drivers involved in the crash, along with a juvenile passenger in one of the vehicles, were transported to Baptist Health Richmond for treatment…
