NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — A dozen juveniles have reportedly been banned for a year from attending local parks in addition to having criminal charges filed against them by the Nicholasville Police Department (NPD).
Law enforcement officials posted on Facebook around 12:20 p.m. on March 18 that officers were told about a “physical altercation involving numerous juveniles at City County Park.”

During the investigation, authorities said 12 alleged participants in the altercation were found and charged, in addition to being banned from “all parks” for a year.
“The Nicholasville Police Department is committed to preserving our parks as a safe environment for all visitors,” officers said. “We urge parents to educate their children as it pertains to their behavior within our parks and to be aware of the consequences that will assuredly follow.”
