A sudden ice event that produced slick roads and a cluster of accidents last week led to the resignation of Nancy Albright, the former commissioner of the Department of Environmental Quality and Public Works.
Richard Young with CivicLex says the new move to shift two city divisions out of that department may or may not be tied to the recent uproar over the city’s poorly-received winter weather response.
“It’s not entirely clear if the two are connected, but it seems likely that they could be given the changes that have already taken place in Environmental Quality and Public Works,” he says…
