New FCPS elementary school named after district’s first black student

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Lexington’s newest elementary school will honor a trailblazer in the district.

The Fayette County Public Schools board voted unanimously Thursday night to name the school on Greendale Road after Helen Caise Wade.
