Lexington Powerball Winner Arrested Again for $12K Burglary

Police in Lexington arrested James Shannon Farthing, the man who once won $167.3 million in Kentucky’s largest-ever Powerball jackpot, after he was accused of stealing $12,000 in cash during a home burglary. The incident happened over the weekend, and video footage reportedly showed Farthing breaking into a residence. Officers later detained him while he was driving a Porsche and smoking marijuana. He now faces second-degree burglary and marijuana possession charges and was booked into the Fayette County Detention Center. This marks Farthing’s third arrest since his lottery win, with other active cases pending in Kentucky and Florida.
