Keeneland gears up for Spring Meet opening: Here’s what’s new

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — The spring warmth has returned to Lexington’s horse farms and racetracks, and the community is electric with anticipation for a new way to enjoy century-old traditions at Keeneland.

Officials teased in a news release that a “blockbuster” 2026 Spring Meet would kick off on Friday, April 3, with 19 stakes and a record $9.55 million in total prize money packed into 15 days.
