1 hurt in crash on major Lexington road, gas meter hit

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — The right lane of Nicholasville Road facing downtown has been reopened on Wednesday morning after a crash in the area led to one person being taken to a local hospital.

It happened just before 7:30 a.m. on April 1 on Nicholasville Road, facing downtown just before the Southpoint Drive intersection, per the Lexington Traffic Management Center.

Officials with the Lexington Police Department told FOX 56 News that one person was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Officers noted that a car struck a gas meter, leading to a response from crews with the Lexington Fire Department.
