Woman accused of shooting Lexington bus ceiling after argument

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Lexington woman was arrested on Wednesday night after allegedly shooting a gun on a bus with eight other passengers on board.

Court documents from the Lexington Police Department (LPD) show that just before 10 p.m. on April 1, 49-year-old Paris Hilliard allegedly started an argument with two other passengers on a LexTran bus near Asbury Lane, with eight total passengers on board.

After the fight ended, Hilliard allegedly shot a gun at the bus ceiling. Investigators accused her of “manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life.”

Hilliard was charged with eight counts of first-degree wanton endangerment for the discharge of a firearm. She’s due in court at 1 p.m. on Thursday.
