LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — City leaders in Lexington are moving forward with plans to redesign a busy stretch of New Circle Road, but construction is still a few years away. In the meantime, they’re asking for public input to help shape the project.
The “Imagine New Circle Road Project” focuses on improving safety, traffic flow, and connectivity along a 1.8-mile stretch of North New Circle Road. The redesign would cover the area from Bryan Station Road to Development Drive, near Newtown Pike.
Chris Evilia, Director of the Lexington Area Metropolitan Planning Organization, called that portion of New Circle Road “one of our worst corridors in terms of crash performance, especially fatal and serious injury crashes.”…
