One arrested after alleged Bourbon County burglary leaves homeowner dead

BOURBON COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) – A man was arrested after deputies say a burglary left a homeowner dead.

Timothy Mitchell is facing a list of charges according to the Bourbon County Sheriff’s Office:

  1. Murder
  2. Burglary (first degree)
  3. Possession of burglary tools
  4. Public intoxication

Around 3:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, the sheriff’s office said they were dispatched to Ruddles Mill Road for a burglary in progress.

According to an arrest citation, deputies were told the suspect was being held in the garage outbuilding while on the way to the scene, and were also advised that the owner of the property had been assaulted…
