Lincoln man gets probation for body slamming man outside Das Haus

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) — A man was sentenced to over a year of probation after body slamming another man outside Lincoln’s LGBTQA+ bar Das Haus in 2025.

According to court records, 20-year-old Kyson Bellamy was sentenced to 18 months’ probation for assault causing bodily injury. Bellamy was initially charged with first-degree assault.

On Aug. 15, 2025, Lincoln police officers were called out to the report of an assault near North 17th and O streets around 2 a.m. A 25-year-old man was injured after being thrown to the ground.

Video from the incident shows Bellamy run up behind the victim and pick him up. The suspect suspends the victim from his waist for a short time before quickly hurling him to the ground. The victim is then seen convulsing on the cement…
