LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A Tornado Watch is in effect until 11 PM for western areas while a Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect across parts of central and southern Nebraska until 10 p.m.
In these areas, damaging winds gusting up to 75-80 mph, large hail up to tennis ball to large apple size, and a few strong tornadoes are all possible.
Tonight’s Storm Timeline
As evening approaches, a line of severe storms will likely move toward Lincoln, with the strongest activity expected late tonight and possibly continuing into the overnight hours. While storms in the Lincoln area may still be severe, the highest severe weather threat remains to the west.
