Lincoln gas prices drop after news of tentative peace deal

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Lincolnites have seen gas prices at nearly $5 a gallon, but recently prices at the pump have been trending down with the news that there may be a deal with Iran in place.

Across Nebraska, the cheapest prices our reporters saw was $3.73 on the east side of town. One Lincoln woman filling up at Casey’s near 84th and Adams said when gas prices were higher and unpredictable, it was harder to manage finances.

“We travel out west a lot,” Erika Last, Lincoln resident. “And so I’m always looking at the gas prices as I go to try to figure out where the cheapest spot is or where I should fill up before it gets more expensive. If we can kind of get things under wraps over there, I think that’ll help us all feel a lot better about steady gas prices instead of the up and down and the unknown.”…
