LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Severe weather is threatening western Nebraska Saturday evening, while dangerous conditions are expected through the week as extreme heat and humidity move into the region.

A tornado watch is in effect for western Nebraska until midnight CDT Saturday.
The tornado watch carries an even greater threat. A few tornadoes are possible, with winds potentially gusting to 90 mph and hail as large as baseballs.
