LINCOLN, Neb. — An arrest warrant has been issued for former Nebraska wrestler A.J. Ferrari after Lancaster County prosecutors charged him with three felonies related to the alleged assault of his former fiancée.
According to court records, Ferrari is charged with assault by strangulation of a pregnant woman, third-degree domestic assault causing bodily injury to a pregnant woman, and first-degree false imprisonment. The charges stem from an alleged incident on May 8.
An affidavit says the woman told investigators Ferrari assaulted and strangled her during an argument. She was later treated at a Lincoln hospital, where investigators said medical records documented injuries consistent with strangulation…
