Lincoln Parks and Recreation is inviting residents to celebrate National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 4, with free neighborhood gatherings designed to bring families, neighbors and law enforcement together before the start of the school year.
Recreation Coordinator Dan Payzant says while National Night Out has traditionally centered on neighborhood block parties, the city’s community centers have become natural gathering places because of their strong partnerships with neighborhood organizations, schools and the Lincoln Police Department.
Lincoln Parks and Recreation will host events at four locations across the city: Air Park Community Center, Belmont Recreation Center, Calvert Recreation Center and F Street Community Center.
