The community is invited to join current and former students and staff for Park Middle School’s 100th birthday celebration Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. near 8th and ‘G’ Streets. The celebration will include student-led tours of the building, games, food trucks and opportunities to reconnect with friends and alumni.
Lincoln historian Ed Zimmer will also give informational talks about the school’s history at 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room. The building was constructed in 1926 as an elementary school and was named for its location near Lincoln’s first city park…
