Penn State made a big splash in the recruiting game when they earned a commitment from cornerback Deonte Flemings Jr. earlier this year. The four-star defensive back didn’t have a large number of offers from other schools, so the commitment felt fairly secure.
However, Flemings Jr. still hasn’t shut down his recruitment and made Nittany Lions fans feel a little uneasy when he received an offer from Nebraska last month. There are appears to be more cause for concern now, as Bobby Schneider of On3 Sports reports that the high-school junior will have a visit with the Cornhuskers on Halloween amid budding interest.
Flemings Jr. had an eye-opening quote about the team applying the most pressure, tell HuskerOnline, “I feel like {the Cornhuskers} are definitely recruiting me harder than people that’s in-state.”…
