OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Nebraska state troopers arrested five people after separate pursuits across the area between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning. The first incident, NSP said, began around 2 p.m. Wednesday along Highway 75 near downtown Omaha. A trooper found a Chevy Equinox speeding over 100 miles per hour in the northbound lanes. The trooper attempted a traffic stop, but the driver refused and continued speeding. The driver passed another vehicle on the shoulder while exiting to the eastbound lanes of the Storz Expressway; the pursuit was terminated as the Equinox continued speeding into a neighborhood.
