Citation for assault given, other crimes reported first week back

The first week back for the spring semester at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln held its fair share of on-campus crime. The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Police Department cited an individual for narcotics Jan. 25 during a traffic stop on 17th and Q because the driver did not have their headlights on. The officer found over an ounce of marijuana inside the driver’s car, according to Sgt. Craig Teply. UNLPD cited the driver, but the driver was released, Teply said.
