OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Morning clouds and fog thinned quickly for the metro leaving us with plenty of sunshine and mild temperatures. Highs pushed into the low 50s around town, well above average for this time of year. The clouds and fog took longer to dissipate for areas to the west, with gray skies lasting through the lunch hour around Columbus, Norfolk, and Lincoln. The clouds kept temperatures about 10 degrees cooler than the metro, but some sunshine did return for the afternoon hours.
