Two Arrested in Nebraska After Stealing Gatorade & Peanut Brittle

After a pursuit and a day on the run, two suspects were arrested in Nebraska for stealing Gatorade and peanut brittle, with more charges expected as the investigation unfolds, according to KSNB Local4

A Lincoln woman and a Hickman man are behind bars after the day-long manhunt sparked by a high-speed chase, all for a rather unusual loot.

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office (LSO) detailed the arrests of 33-year-old Sarah Bowland and 47-year-old Clinton Hummer, who are now facing charges of trespassing and burglary, with additional crimes under investigation.

The sequence of events began in the early hours of Tuesday morning when LSO deputies engaged in a pursuit with a vehicle linked to three previous chases.

The chase, accoridng to the KSNB Local4 report, ended near Southwest 29th Street and West Princeton Road when the suspects’ vehicle, a 2008 Cadillac CTS, became inoperable after entering a field.

Despite efforts from both the Nebraska State Patrol and the sheriff’s office, the suspects initially evaded capture.
