Woman arrested after pointing loaded gun at friend in northwest Lincoln hotel, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A man was held at gunpoint by his friend, and a woman is now behind bars, according to Lincoln Police. Police said 45-year-old Rachel Smith called 911 on Wednesday around 9:30 p.m. from a Sunset Inn in northwest Lincoln. Dispatch told police that a lot of arguing could be heard over the phone and that a gun was mentioned, but Smith didn’t provide much information until she ended up at a nearby U-Stop.
