Jaz Shelley and the Nebraska Cornhuskers spoiled Caitlin Clark’s potential record-breaking day with a statement 82-79 upset victory over the No. 2 Iowa Hawkeyes this Sunday afternoon.
In the closing moments of the fourth quarter, Shelly drained a three from the corner to give the Huskers a 78-77 lead with just over 30 seconds left in the game.

Caitlin Clark went viral for using the iconic John Cena-themed celebration last season. But it came back to bite her multiple times, particularly after Angel Reese mocked her with it after LSU beat Iowa in the women’s March Madness tournament.
In all honesty, it’s a sign of respect for Clark’s greatness, and players clearly recognize how special a player she is.
