Ballot initiative groups enter home stretch for gathering signatures

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Campaigns for the almost dozen ballot initiatives circulating have had boots on the ground, collecting signatures for months now. But by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, it’s clipboards down and boxes in. Organizers have to be at the Secretary of State’s office in the Cornhusker Hotel to sign an affidavit saying they have enough support.
