An intriguing quarterback duel is set to highlight the early college football schedule as Colorado heads to Lincoln to face Nebraska on Saturday night.
The game showcases Shedeur Sanders at the helm for the Buffaloes and the Huskers’ true freshman Dylan Raiola, a matchup that former Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow is eagerly anticipating.
In Colorado’s 31-26 win over South Dakota State, Sanders completed 26 of 34 passes for 445 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception. As the top passer in Week 1, Tebow is keen to see Sanders’ performance this Saturday against the Huskers’ defense.
“I can’t wait to watch Shedeur,” Tebow said on SportsCenter on Saturday. “If you look at what he did during Week 1 against a really good opponent — he did everything. They’re putting on back braces and he’s saying ‘I can carry more. Give me more, coach.’ Whatever you want to say, this kid is for real.
