Judge recuses himself from Lincoln man’s murder case

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The judge overseeing the case of Christopher Johnson, who is accused of killing two people outside a Lincoln strip club in May, recused himself. Last week, Johnson’s attorneys requested that Judge Kevin McManaman step down, citing that his bailiff is listed as a witness in the case. The defense argued that her presence in the courtroom could compromise the court’s impartiality.
