LINCOLN, Neb. – As it has done so many times before, Nebraska Task Force 1 is heading into harm’s way as others are being told to evacuate. The 45-member team was activated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency on Wednesday afternoon to help in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, which is expected to make landfall in Florida as a Category 3 on Thursday night.
