The Nebraska Cornhuskers had a promising start at 5-1 but after their third straight loss to UCLA, they find themselves on the bubble of a bowl game with the possibility of spending late December at home.
It was just a year ago when Nebraska fans had a similar feeling. The Huskers lost their season opener at Minnesota and their second game at Colorado before bouncing back to win five of their next six games with the lone loss to No. 2 Michigan.
While Nebraska was on the verge of a bowl appearance, they lost four straight one-score games to close the season and missed out on postseason play.
