Woman beaten after Lincoln gas station worker suffers mental health crisis, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A 22-year-old woman was hurt in a random attack by an employee at a Lincoln gas station Wednesday morning, Lincoln Police said. Officers responded to the U-Stop near 84th Street and Cornhusker Highway around 4:40 a.m. after learning the woman had been assaulted in the gas station’s bathroom. Police said the employee was experiencing a mental health crisis at the time of the attack.
