Dip in temperatures early this week before warming

All of us are running rather low on total snowfall this season: a disappointing season so far for snow lovers.

Lincoln and Omaha have only recorded 1″ of snow this winter. Grand Island – not much better – has just under 3″ on the season.

Compared to normal through almost mid-January, each location is behind by at least 8-9″ of snow.

Lincoln is actually tied for the second lowest amount of snow on record through this point in the season. A couple years ago was similar (2022-23) when we had only 1.6″ through January 12th.

Monday starts out cold, following a day of falling temperatures and wind on Sunday. Temperatures will rise to around freezing this afternoon…
