LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A man accused of holding a woman hostage in Seward County last fall has accepted a plea deal.
Trenton Engel, 34, pled no contest Thursday to a misdemeanor charge of obstructing a peace officer. In exchange, prosecutors dropped one count of first-degree false imprisonment and one count of possession of a firearm while committing a felony.
His sentencing is set for June 16, and the maximum jail time he faces is one year with a $1,000 fine…
