One person displaced after house fire in northeast Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Lincoln Fire and Rescue determined a spontaneous combustion of reloading materials caused a fire in northeast Lincoln early Thursday.

Firefighters were called to a home near 44th and Adams streets just after 2:45 a.m. on the report of a home on fire. LFR said a smoke alarm alerted the homeowner who was asleep, and they evacuated safely with their dog.

Battalion Chief Aaron Pospisil confirmed to 10/11 that live ammo was going off inside the burning structure as crews tried to douse the flames…
