The Lincoln community will be coming together to support greater causes Saturday, April 12. Although two separate events, the Run For Hope and Walk For Freedom aim to educate, unite and inspire Lincoln citizens.
Run for Hope, The Hope Venture
The Hope Venture is an organization that started in 2009 when Cynci Peterson was traveling to India with her husband. She was riding in a train car when she looked out the window and saw a mom scooping up dirty pond water to give to her kids.
This sparked her to create The Hope Venture.
Peterson started by working out of her friend’s basement for the first five years. Since then Peterson and her team have been using education and health projects to bring hope to disadvantaged people in other countries…
